King Charles’ touching ‘olive branch’ to son Prince Harry ‘revealed’ in new project

Prince Harry is set to make a small but notable appearance in King Charles’ upcoming documentary, Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, which premieres on Prime Video on February 6. The film, produced in collaboration with The King’s Foundation, explores Charles’ lifelong dedication to environmental causes and his philosophy of living in harmony with nature.
Alongside newly filmed material, the documentary includes archival footage spanning decades of the king’s work. Among those clips is a brief, touching scene showing a young Prince Harry fishing with his father. Prince William also appears in archival footage, both from childhood and from his twenties, highlighting different stages of the king’s life as a father as well as an advocate.
For some observers, the inclusion of Harry stands out. Given the well documented strain between father and son in recent years, even a short appearance has been interpreted as a quiet gesture of goodwill.
A complicated relationship and signs of softening

Harry’s relationship with King Charles has been uneasy since the duke stepped back from royal duties in 2020. That tension deepened following a series of high profile interviews and the release of Harry’s memoir Spare, in which he made personal allegations about his family.
Despite this, Harry has publicly spoken about wanting reconciliation. In a BBC interview last May, as the king continued treatment for cancer, Harry said he no longer wanted conflict and stressed the importance of family. He acknowledged the uncertainty of time and expressed hope for healing.
That hope appeared to take a small step forward in September, when Harry visited the UK and met his father privately at Clarence House. It was their first in person meeting in 19 months. While details of the visit were kept private, Harry later said his father was doing well, suggesting the meeting had been cordial.
Invictus Games and hopes for the future

Looking ahead, reports suggest Harry is hoping for a much more public reunion. According to sources, the Duke of Sussex would like King Charles to attend the 2027 Invictus Games, set to take place in Birmingham next summer. Harry founded the Games in 2014 to support wounded, injured and sick service personnel, and they remain one of his most important projects.
A source told The Sun that Harry hopes his father might even open the Games alongside him, calling it a personal dream as well as a meaningful moment for the event itself. Invictus Games organisers have confirmed that members of the royal family will be invited.
Whether King Charles will attend remains to be seen. But between a quiet moment in a documentary and ongoing private contact, there are signs that the door, at least, is no longer fully closed.
