Meghan Markle speaks out on ‘professional separation’ from Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has spoken candidly about her ongoing professional separation from Prince Harry, a topic that has gained attention as both pursue individual projects.

There has been steady discussion online about the couple shifting toward more independent career paths, and Meghan’s recent ventures continue to highlight that trend.

A source previously told Hello that Harry and Meghan have long followed their own interests in their work while still staying committed to their shared charitable foundation, Archewell, which began in 2020. The insider explained that the couple still has joint projects in development that reflect their shared mission for global impact.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Meghan reflected on how she has built a range of solo projects since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. According to the publication, she is now focused on a life and career that feel true to her own values.

Her workload remains extensive. She has development deals with Spotify and Netflix. Her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan has performed strongly. Her As Ever brand has seen repeated sell out moments. She also hosts her own podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.

Speaking about her work life, Meghan said she has always valued community and connection and feels these qualities are part of her DNA. She added that people eventually notice your dedication, and that the way you show up in one area of life reflects how you show up in others. She compared her approach to everything from school potlucks to supporting friends to running her business.

Balancing Motherhood, Work and Boundaries

Meghan also shared how she manages the balance between professional commitments and parenting her two children.

She explained that her office is close to the kitchen at home and that working from home is a luxury she appreciates. She described moments where Lilibet will climb onto her lap during meetings, whether she is discussing profit and loss for her brand or something more creative.

She added that her boundaries became sharper once she entered the public eye and that protecting herself has become part of growing into adulthood.

As a mother, she sees her children face new challenges every day, and she tries to give herself the same grace she gives them. She reminded herself that perfection does not exist and that making mistakes is part of the process, both as a parent and as a founder.

Meghan also noted that Harry will make his first real appearance in her Netflix series when the festive edition airs on December 3. He has not yet featured properly in the show but did appear briefly in a short trailer where the couple shared a kiss in a kitchen.
