Prince William has ‘no hesitation’ letting it be known Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should face police probe

Prince William would reportedly waste no time signalling that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should face a criminal investigation if he were on the throne, according to a royal expert.
Andrew has once again come under intense pressure to clarify what he knows about his links to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, particularly following the latest release of files connected to the case.
Royal commentator Tom Sykes claims the Prince of Wales feels strongly that a formal police probe is necessary.
“Friends of William have told me that he would have ‘no hesitation’ in letting it be known that Andrew should face a ‘probe’ police investigation if he were king,” Mr Sykes said.
“He genuinely believes the monarchy cannot remain popular and respected if it does not at least give the appearance of respecting the principle that no man is above the law.”
However, Sykes suggested the current King takes a different view.
“By contrast, those close to the King believe he has no desire whatsoever to see his brother subjected to a full-blown police inquiry.
“One former royal staffer put it bluntly: ‘The monarchy has shielded Andrew from any accountability for his actions for decades. That’s not about to change,’” he wrote on Substack.

Andrew’s Move From Royal Lodge
These claims surfaced just days after Andrew vacated Royal Lodge and relocated to a property on the King’s Sandringham Estate.
He is believed to be staying at Wood Lodge for the foreseeable future while renovation work continues at Marsh Farm.
Despite Andrew’s fall from grace, former royal editor Duncan Larcombe believes King Charles will continue to provide financial support.
“I think the King will pay what needs to be paid and will fund his brother, in a way, he’s kind of got no choice,” Larcombe said.
“Andrew can’t end up homeless and on the streets, much as the public might like that to happen.
“But what can Andrew do? He can’t get a job somewhere. He can’t deliver parcels to make ends meet.
“He’s sort of stuck so King Charles will still financially support him, but what that will look like, who knows,” he added.

A Royal Reputation in Crisis
Larcombe did not hold back when describing Andrew’s current standing.
“Andrew really is the pariah Prince and he’s a problem to his family,” he said.
“He hasn’t been convicted in a court of law, but he has been found guilty in the court of public opinion, and I think with the latest tranche of emails, it definitely just stinks, it’s rotten, you know.”
“I think unless and until Andrew goes and cooperates with the American authorities, I think that this will continue.”
Adding further pressure, US Vice President JD Vance has indicated he would consider backing bipartisan efforts in Congress to compel Andrew to testify about his association with Epstein.
As scrutiny intensifies, the divide in attitudes toward Andrew — both within royal circles and beyond — appears sharper than ever.
